Thinking Out Loud
One of the things I invite my students to do is think out loud. And to do so at a time when doing so is so very hard and unsafe to do.
Not just because our world is more complicated but because of the febrile nature of our online world that resists the process of thinking well. Too many people are ready to shout at anyone for any thought that seems politically incorrect and hold people hostage with virtue signalling.
Many Christians have hidden away from thinking out loud, seeing it as unseemly and unsightly, able to point to Christians who perpetuate the worst of public discourse. But to understand, we need to think better and out loud.
I hope that it will be possible here.
